REA Energy Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative serving nearly 22,000 members in seven west-central and southwestern Pennsylvania counties (Armstrong, Blair, Cambria, Clearfield, Indiana, Jefferson, and Westmoreland). Incorporated on March 4, 1937, the cooperative first began providing electric service later that year. It was known as Southwest Central Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation until May 1, 2001.
