Somerset REC is an electric distribution cooperative serving more than 12,000 members in four southwestern Pennsylvania counties (Bedford, Fayette, Somerset, and Westmoreland) as well as Garrett County, Md. Incorporated March 8, 1939, the co-op first provided electric service in February 1940.
